Task Notifications and Reminders

Configuring Notification Settings

Notifications are a great way to stay up-to-date with the most urgent tasks in your organisation, but everyone has their own preference with how often, and by what channels they receive their notifications. Kinabase gives you the control and flexibility to configure this yourself!

To configure your notification settings:

  • Click Settings in the bottom left of your screen
  • Select Notifications from the list of settings pages
Configuring notifications settings

Here you first see two options for how Kinabase can notify you, either as a pop-up notification within the Kinabase App, or via Email. Here you can select how you want to receive notifications based on the urgency of the event. Event urgency ranges through Urgent, High, Medium, and Low.

Next you will see the option to select the urgency of the following events:

  • A task being assigned to you
  • The start of scheduled task time (more details here)
  • When a task is due

Once you've made any changes to your notification settings, click Update to save these changes and they'll take effect immediately!

Creating Custom Notifications

After using Kinabase for some time, you may begin to want more advanced notification setting for tasks and events. For this, the Automations feature can help!

Automations allow you to create advanced, automatic functions within Kinabase, including sending notifications to your or your colleagues when tasks become due.

To enable and configure automations, you must navigate to the Automations Settings page:

  • Click Settings in the bottom left of your screen
  • Select Automations from the list of settings pages
