Easily group your location data by country, city and more

One of the latest updates to Kinabase collections includes the new geographic grouping feature. This new functionality empowers users to group their data by location, offering a granular view from countries to specific cities.

This new feature eliminates the need to search through multiple data fields for location information. Now, your location data is consolidated into a single, designated field, enhancing data management efficiency and user experience, and decreasing the risk of user search errors.

Here’s how it works:

  • First, ensure you have a location field in your collection. If not, navigate to “configure” in the relevant collection, click on “fields,” and then “add field.”
  • Once you have a location field in your collection, you can click on the “group by” button with the stacked paper icon.
  • You now have the option to click on group by Location – City, Location – County, or Location – Country.
  • Your collection data will automatically sort to the configuration chosen.

Grouping your data based on one location field streamlines data analysis for projects with a geographical component. Users can now effortlessly categorise office locations, visualise project footprints across various regions, and gain insights into client distribution – all within a centralised and intuitive interface.

Whether you manage geographically dispersed teams, track projects across diverse regions, or require a clearer understanding of your client base by location, the newly augmented location field empowers users with a more organised and insightful approach to data management.
