We're thrilled to announce the successful completion of our Innovate UK BridgeAI-funded research project - a government-funded initiative that has empowered Cambridge Kinetics to conduct cutting-edge research into AI and its applications within business software.

Over the past year, we've used the BridgeAI grant to conduct independent research into AI technologies and implement the most effective AI tools into our flagship platform, Kinabase. Our transformative range of powerful AI features are already helping businesses across the UK and abroad level up their digital workflows and achieve more using innovative software solutions.

Pioneering AI with BridgeAI

The Innovate UK BridgeAI program is a government initiative designed to accelerate the adoption of AI within high-potential sectors - like the creative industries, construction, food processing, and more. By addressing the challenges that often hinder AI implementation, BridgeAI ensures that groundbreaking innovations can move seamlessly from research to real-world application.

Supported by St John's Innovation Centre, this grant has given us the resources to expand Kinabase's capabilities and create intuitive, user-friendly AI tools that are helping businesses thrive in a competitive digital landscape.

With Kinabase now equipped with these advanced features, we're proud to stand as a shining example of how government-backed programs like BridgeAI can drive impactful change across industries.

Introducing Our New AI Features

We’ve introduced AI-powered features into four major areas of Kinabase, reflective of the latest trends in AI research and innovation. Each one is designed to eliminate time-consuming manual tasks and give you more control over your data, all within a user-friendly interface.

1. Quicker Setup

Setting up databases can be daunting - but not with Kinabase.

Our system setup just got even easier - now, you can upload a picture of a spreadsheet, or even a photo of your systems on-paper, and Kinabase's AI will configure custom data collections for you.

We wanted to use this feature to streamline onboarding, but also help our customers evolve their databases as they grow. With this feature, businesses can start using their data, straight away - no system configurations required.

2. Enhanced Data Capture

Manual data entry slows businesses down.

Our Scan & Fill feature solves this problem by using AI to extract data from documents and images, automating the process of filling records.

This feature is designed to minimise repetitive, manual input; it also reduces data errors for businesses where accuracy is a priority.

3. Improved Digital Workflows

Aside from data entry, we also wanted to improve the way you experience our system. To do this, we've added AI-assistive features that help monitor your activity within Kinabase, and use this information to generate tasks suggestions for you.

This AI feature can generate tasks based on activities and changes made within the system, or even based off incoming emails being recorded in Kinabase - meaning businesses can spend less time distributing tasks and deadlines, and more time focussing on what's important to them.

4. Better Data Outputs

Our AI-powered updates put Business Intelligence (BI) at the forefront of Kinabase. Visualising and interpreting data has never been easier, thanks to these groundbreaking features:

• Chart Suggestions: AI analyses your dataset and recommends tailored visualisations, helping you uncover key patterns and trends at a glance.
• Natural Language Chart Creation: Simply type a question (e.g., "What were last month’s sales by region?") or describe the chart you need, and Kinabase’s AI generates it instantly.
• Advanced Queries and Filters: For more complex needs, our AI translates natural language prompts into sophisticated data queries and filters, saving hours of manual setup.
